To attract public attention to the problem of HIV infection, events are held within the framework of world AIDS day, which was officially declared by a UN resolution in 1988 — December 1, world AIDS day. The motto of world AIDS day 2020 is «global solidarity, shared responsibility».

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, including in the Northern region, events will be held from November 16 to November 22, taking into account the regional epidemiological situation and restrictions on COVID-19.
